Why "Spirituality" and "Science" Can Get Along.

Modern science tells us that the entire universe originated from a single point. That all time and existence was concentrated in an infinite place nearly impossible to be understood by the human intellect. It is then believed that  the entire universe exploded from this point creating everything in known existence.  This must now cause us to ask ourselves - what was this point? - where did it come from? - why was it there at all?

Religion seeks to answer the questions of our origins. It is a widely accepted view amongst most major spiritual groups that all of existence originated from a single point known as "God". That in a very instant "God" decided to create everything emanating from an infinite place nearly impossible to be understood by human intellect.

BIG BANG = LET THERE BE LIGHT = WE ALL COME FROM A SINGLE POINT

Scientists today believe that all of existence can be broken down into multiple dimensions. Some believe that there may be 12 or even 13 dimensions but let's just look at the third and fourth for now.

We use the third dimension to describe something in shape and size. The three dimensions are length - width - and height. Now this is perfect if you want to describe the new tennis shoes you bought last week - but how do you describe when you got them? You need a fourth dimension - Time.

Time (the 4th dimension) is necessary to describe an event and because we can perceive it - it has to exist. To fully understand the relationship between the 3rd and 4th dimensions - we need to try a little experiment.

Dimension Experiment

Materials:
First grab a flat surface - a piece of paper will do fine.
Now grab a three dimensional object - a pen or object on your desk should work.

Procedure:
This experiment is designed to look at the relationship between the 2nd and 3rd dimension so that we can understand the relationship between the 3rd and 4th.
The 2nd dimension is merely an existence with only length and width - completely flat

Now what you need to do - is imagine that you are living on the piece of paper (the 2nd dimension) - and that all you can perceive is length and width . If you were living in this fantasy 2D world what would you perceive if the object was placed on the piece of paper?
- Depending on the object - you may only see a circle - or a line. But whats important here is that you are only perceiving a small portion of what is actually there.

Science believes that this relationship can be further extended into understanding higher dimensions.

We as 3rd dimensional beings can only perceive a small portion of the 4th dimension. We call it Time. But there is much more to the 4th dimension that we are unable to perceive (our spiritual existence).

Scientists have discovered that there is not enough gravity in the universe to hold everything together. What this means is that there simply isn't enough in the 3rd dimension to explain the connections between us.
